Linux Ubuntu ready expansion for Mobile & Tablet PC

Not only for desktop computers and servers, but the future of Ubuntu Linux operating system will also be present in the phone and tablet PCs.

It was raised by Mark Shuttleworth as the originator Canocial, which is a company that is developing variants of Ubuntu.

“Linux for all mankind. Many users are now switching to a tablet PC and mobile phones as computing devices, as well as Ubuntu that will be available for a small sail,” said Shuttleworth.

It is not certain when Ubuntu would be available for both handheld devices, but new manufacturing project will start after launching version 12:04.

Although the gadget universe was dominated by Android and IOS, but Shuttleworth remain confident that Ubuntu is able to survive, especially the operating system is claimed to be more stable and reliable.

“There are still plenty of space to share opinions with them (the manufacturer of the gadget-ed),” Shuttleworth added, as quoted from ZDNET, Monday (10/31/2011).
