Nokia Breakthrough Ready U.S. Market

NEW YORK – Nokia is preparing to introduce Windows Phone (WP) first to the United States (U.S.) in the near future. This Finnish company hopes mobile phone designed with Microsoft can be successful in the U.S..

Nokia will debut next week and plans to hold the operator T-Mobile to distribute WP Mango, known by the name of this Lumia at the Nokia event in New York. In the European market Lumia 710 priced at USD362 and has started to go in November, but Nokia has not released prices for the U.S. market officially.

As quoted by the Wall Street Journal, Friday (12/09/2011), the presence of Nokia to the U.S. market also seems to be a threat to Research in Motion (RIM), which currently ranks third after Android’s market share and Apple. Most BlackBerry users experiencing barriers to delivery and the cost of diversion services.

Hugues de la Verne one analyst Gartner said, “This is a further advantage for Nokia and Microsoft.” Keeping in now RIM going down and experiencing a reduction in the U.S. market share. If this can be put to good use, then it is likely Nokia will take a share of RIM. But if Nokia can not use it, maybe RIM will continue to maintain its position.

Chris Webber, Head of Nokia USA explains, “the company is committed to issue a new mobile phone on a large scale in 2012.” But he did not give details about the marketing plan and Nokia partnership.

Webber added the company will also target the user’s smartphone sales in first, before targeting to the businessmen who had been using a BlackBerry.

While Stephen Elop, Nokia’s Chief Executive in his latest interview stating, “there is a very important business clients’ chances with this device and Nokia are working with Microsoft to try to target that market.”

Elop also said the new phones also offer search services and advertising capabilities, music, games and location-based course, which can compete with Android and Apple.
