Sales Ban Galaxy 10.1 Withdrawn

Galaxy 10.1 tablets was banned in the European Union by the German courts. But now, the court decided to temporarily lift the ban so that Samsung could sell back in the region.

The court in Germany to rectify its decision so that the prohibition of the sale is only valid in Germany. This decision may still change again after Samsung is scheduled to appeal in court on Aug. 25.

Presumably, these changes are related to the manipulation of the evidence presented Apple’s image to show the similarity between 10.1 and iPad Galaxy 2. Apparently, whether intentional or not, images Galaxy 10.1 widened from its original size so it resembles the iPad 2.

In addition, there is the question whether a court in Dusseldorf, Germany, it had the power to ban throughout the EU. To be sure, Samsung benefited from the change in this decision.

“Apart from the commercial advantages gained Samsung in the change that decision, it is an unpleasant situation for Apple,” said a patent expert, Florian Muller is quoted detikInet from the BBC, Thursday August, 18 2011.

Apple and Samsung fight in court related to charges of phone lines and Galaxy tablets imitating the iPhone and iPad. The fight between the two tech giants are taking place in various countries of the United States, Australia, Germany, Holland to South Korea.
